Pumpkin Cheese Cake

I made this yesterday, LEGS LOVES CHEESECAKE.....I had a little trouble with the crust but overall it was very good, but very rich...... Oh and LEGS is the one that cut it so the last picture doesn't look that perfect- but he was overly excited.....**

Ingredients

Crust:

  • 30 squares gingersnap cookies
  • 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Filling:

  • 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Cinnamon Whipped Cream for topping

Directions

Crust:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Add the gingersnaps to the bowl of a food processor, and pulse until crumbly. Transfer to a large bowl and add the melted butter. Stir until evenly mixed. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan with 3-inch sides. Bake the crust until golden brown, about 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let cool completely while preparing the filling.

Filling:

Put a teakettle filled with water on the stovetop, over medium heat, and bring to a boil.

In a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese and sugar and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the pumpkin and beat until incorporated. Beat in the eggs, 1 at a time, then add the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and vanilla, and beat until blended. Add the flour and beat until incorporated.

Wrap the sides and bottom of the springform pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Pour the filling into the pan and put it in a small roasting pan. Pour the hot water from the teakettle into the roasting pan, filling halfway up the sides of the springform pan, about 1 1/2 inches.

Bake until the center of the cheesecake moves slightly when the pan is gently shaken, about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Remove the cake from the water bath and let it cool on a wire rack.

Once cooled, use a paring knife to loosen the sides of the cake from the pan. Chill the cheesecake for at least 4 hours before serving. Serve with Cinnamon Whipped Cream.

Farewell......**

Yesterday, December 7, 1941- a date which will live in infamy- The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan...As Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken in our defense.  With Confidence in our armed forces-with the unbounded determination of our people- we will gain the inevitable triumph- so help us God."
President F.D. Roosevelt - 8th December 1941 **

Please take a moment and remember those soldiers and sailors that experienced and sacrificed this horrific incident in our history......

I was awake again last night.  Listening to LEGS breathe.  I was thinking that there was a time where I would have traded my soul to the devil just to have him breathing next to me and that time could be in my near future.....AGAIN.......sad thoughts......

Not sure why but LEGS will migrate over to my pillow in the middle of the night and crowd me in the bed....I told him that this doesn't help my little sleeping issue.....

ARMS: 'It never fails when I finally get in a comfortable position you will roll over and blow your hot stinky night time breath in my face...........'
LEGS: ' Well when you blow your hot stinky breath in my face at night, I suck it up because that is what married people do, so put that in your blog and smoke it...' :D Bawahahahaha!

I also give him a hard time about making a big mess when he eats on the kitchen table.  I say ' Look at where I eat, and look at where you eat'  Well tonight I was a very naughty girl and left a big mess......LEGS pointed it out and wanted to take a picture of the proof.......In my mind I am thinking there wouldn't be enough memory on the camera to snap pictures of all the messes he leaves around the house....SEESH....

We have started our rounds of saying goodbye to our good friends that we have made down here.

The first was a farewell lunch to 'Wilma' she is Canadian, but met an American Soldier teaching English to Koreans over in Korea.  She is returning to Canada to update her work visa to return to Korea to teach.  I think that she is an amazing, brave and passionate woman who is literally flipping the bird to the North Koreans by returning to Korea to teach.  YOUR MY HERO WILMA!!!

Today at lunch we were discussing North Korea and its latest antics.  I asked Wilma what she thought.....she said that the North Korean people are starving, China won't help them because they make too much money off the United States, they have a million man army and nothing to lose.....We were even plotting her Escape Plan if things get really dicey over there........How is that for some flighty army wives and a big dose of reality???

Germany is on high terror alert.  An Al Qaeda type group has made threats of an attack over there.....LEGS has informed me the way we live will be different over there, 'precautions and discipline will be exercised'...At this point I don't know what THAT means, but for fear of never sleeping again I have not inquired either.  Also I have learned there is some tension between some of the locals and the military over there as well, in some places military personnel are not exactly welcomed with big open arms.  Another dose of reality......

Saying Good bye is very difficult for me.  I have never been very good at it, but in the past year it has become worse.  When I left AK, I had to say good bye to a dear, dear friend of mine named LEX.  I always thought that I would see him again, however, he passed away before I ever had the chance........just typing this blog makes my heart ache and sink, I often wonder when I say goodbye if I really will see the person again or not.....

When you live the military lifestyle, your friends ARE YOUR FAMILY.  Wilma said to me the other day " When I make new friends, I give it my all, I put everything I have to making that friendship, that bond, so when time has passed and we run into each other again in 10 years, we will be good friends still......"  Thank you Wilma for being my friend, and filling a void in my life......I do certainly hope to see you again.....Love on ya, ARMS**

This reminds me of the frightful, dark, snowy morning I left AK.  I left November 27th at 530 am, at least that is when I was scheduled to leave.  It had been clear skies and 20 below weeks before I left.  At 3 am that morning right after I said Goodbye to LEX, it started to snow like crazy.  I remember looking out the window of the plane and thinking I have lived in AK my entire life have seen it snow this hard ONLY a hand full of times.

I had my laptop, a big heavy back pack, and my 17 lb. min pin Karmella.  I was wearing an ARMY PT t-shirt and baggy camouflage pants.  I was scared to death, I was leaving my family, my friends, my boxing Coach.  I was stressed out, and very sad.  Of course they had to de-ice the plane which took hours, which means that I was missing all my connecting flights, but I was so exhausted all I could do is cry myself to sleep.

Karmella would not calm down.  The VET had given me tranquilizers to help her travel better.  He told me to give the big dogs 1.5 pills, and give Karmella .5 pill.  She was panicking, so I started to panic.  I couldn't get her to calm down, so I ended up giving her more than the recommended dose.....I won't disclose how much, but let's just say at one point on the trip to Chicago I started to think I LITERALLY may have killed my dog.  But you know I wasn't gonna tell anybody, I mean what would I say? 'Hey excuse miss flight attendant I think we have a dead dog on board.....' Yeah right......

When we landed in Chicago, at the O'Hare airport- the WORST F' IN airport in the United States.....I had to walk back and forth between the Alaska Airlines Terminal and the American Airlines Terminal.  Which there is no moving walk ways, or assistance in getting around....so I was hoofing it with a gigantic back pack, a laptop and what seemed now like a 500 pound min pin....that may or may not be dead.  All in the name of getting another flight since I missed my connecting flight.

I was a HOT MESS.  No, I'm cereal.  I was sweating so bad I had the V shaped sweat stain down the front of my chest, and I had pit stains.....I kept randomly crying and bursting into hysterics.....because I had just left my whole life behind, killed my dog, missed my flight...and I was alone.....

I was finally able to book another flight, after paying another pet fee....I asked the gentlemen helping me if I could please use the bathroom while he finished booking me because by this time I had to pee so bad....oh yeah, and Karmella......turns out she was alive, because she urinated all over herself......to sum it all up I was the sweaty, crying, dog urine stinky girl that you DID NOT want to sit next to on the airplane....

I went into the airport bathroom, I got Karmella out of her carrier, I cleaned the carrier up as best I could, then I started to clean Karmella.  So I had all four of her legs in my hands and I was tilting her horizontally under the sink.....moving....jerking....and shaking her side to side and up and down to get the motion sensor water faucet on!!! Same with the soap, at this point she is not cooperating, I tried to kill her, I didn't let her out to pee, and now I was abusing and embarrassing her existence......All I could think was that I was going to punish the entire airplane with the deep pungent stench of dog urine......

By the time I got to Atlanta, I had never felt and looked so miserable in my entire life.  I was dead on my feet, hungry, utterly exhausted, emotionally empty.......and I missed the last flight into Dothan....which means I was going to have to camp out in the Atlanta airport until the next morning........

LEGS decided to drive 4 hours to Atlanta to pick me up at the airport in a heroic gesture.....however by this point I couldn't even muster a smile when we were reunited.....to top it all off I had no washer or dryer, my bags did not arrive in Alabama for 5 days, so I had to wear LEGS' clothes for 5 days.......

Next time I fly with Karmella she will be wearing a diaper......

A case of the Mondays.....**

Last night LEGS and I were on the couch watching Eclipse......(we will get back to Eclipse in a minute).....I am knitting and he is sitting next to me.....I notice he is moving around and squirming......A LOT.....so I look over and he is sitting with his ass/back towards me, and he legs folded up the the side- a very girly position.....and he is smoothing the blanket down (so it appears to me that he is sitting like a girl would sit in a skirt if she was sitting on the floor, and smoothing out her skirt- are you following me?)

I look at him like he is crazy because this is the second most feminine thing I have ever seen him do the whole time we have been together......and I say:

ARMS: "What are you doing?!?"
LEGS: He sheepishly and innocently replies "Trying to get you to cuddle me....?" (awww I didn't know whether to cry or laugh my a** off!!!)

The first most feminine thing I have seen him do: LEGS stands 6' 2" which means most shower heads don't fit over his head.  After he shampoo's his hair, he has to lean back and bend down to fit under the water flow.......once he has managed this feat, he does this little head/hair flick thing- that mimic's the part in dirty dancing when she sashay's her head from side to side- with her hands up.....yep exactly like that......

About Eclipse......I thoroughly enjoyed all of the books.  In fact I was working with troubled teens at the time of reading them, and I had almost all the boys on the cottage reading the series.  But I found the movie to be corny and cheesy in some parts.....

The significance of this observation is that I was supposed to be a mature adult role modeling and working with unstable teenagers, when now, I am afraid I was in an immature state of mind..... : /

My Grams wears Christmas themed sweatshirts around Christmas.  OK.... let me repeat that.....My Grams wears Christmas themed 'SWEATSHIRTS' around Christmas...... :D

LEGS and I had a rough morning.  We woke up early.  He had PT and I had a yoga class I wanted to attend.  While he was getting dressed for PT, I was making the bed.  He has a tendency to leave his cell phone right on the edge of his nightstand, so naturally, I bumped it off.  When I reached down to grab it I sliced my finger open on something sharp (I still don't know what it was), so I was running around the house bleeding......

Meanwhile he was downstairs feeding the dogs.  We barely had any food to feed them this morning (this would be because LEGS failed to tell me we were short on dog food) so he decided to break up some treats to give to them......Next thing I hear is the tin bowls and food fly all over the kitchen floor......

I come downstairs, still bleeding because I cannot find band aides anywhere in our house, and he is just looking down at the food all over the floor....frozen.....at that point what could you do? So we had a little whoever gets it gets it lesson for the dogs this morning-just in case they ever had to...

After PT LEGS was supposed to pick up some dog food at the PX.  He came home and told me that he drove up to the PX at 7:45am.  He waited until 8:00am when (he thought) the PX was supposed to open. Instead it opens at 9 : / Guess who had to go get dog food today?

Yep right in the middle of lunch, this girl hoofed a 40 lb. of dog food right through the middle of the PX Food Court.....it was totally the highlight of my day......

LEGS was getting dressed for work, and he said to me:
LEGS: "Where is my flag?"
ARMS: A confused look comes over my face and I think "What the hell is he talking about?"
LEGS: Beginning stages of panic "Where is my flag!!!"
ARMS: I come into the bedroom "What are you looking for?"
LEGS: "I can't find my flag!!!"
ARMS: It finally occurs to me he is looking for the flag that Velcro's on his uniform........
We found THE FLAG.

So after slaving away today, I went to the sauna to take a siesta this afternoon......my little half hour of peace.......I go in there and this lady in there starts putting on Skin So Soft......HUH!?! So we are sitting in a hot sauna and she is putting bug juice on......GROSS and WHY WHY WHY!?!? I couldn't help but think bugs were crawling all over me the whole time...either way I killed a lot of real or imaginary mosquito's during that half hour....heavy sigh......so much for peace........

WEAKNESS: I don't know what it is.....but the one thing that makes me feel better NO MATTER WHAT, is Flamming Hot Cheeto's, Pizza and Ice Cream.....not all mixed together or at once.....What? I am not perfect...its how I deal with LIFE when it gets to be too much......

Apparently I have an addiction to high fructose corn syrup....and the first step is admitting it.......with the shakes I am thinking in my mind: They WILL have these things in NEVER NEVER LAND, they WILL have these things in NEVER NEVER LAND.......

Do they have a HighFructoseCornSyrup Anonymous Group yet?

Even though we had a case of the Monday's this morning.....and LEGS came home stressed out from work.....we have a good life......I made him pumpkin cheesecake....and we slow danced to 'The Way You Looked Tonight' by Tony Bennett.....In the entry way of the house.....

"With each word your tenderness grows,
Tearing my fear apart...
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose,
(This is the part where Clancy belched really loudly....)
It touches my foolish heart."

(heavy sigh).......Just another day in the life of unlikely military wife.....**

Bad Bad Mood.....**

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the rooster is crowing........and crowing.......and it won't stop.....I don't know why.......I am not sure what it is.....I cannot quite pin point what made me this way, but I am in a bad bad mood....

Here is the conversation between my brain and me.......

ARMS (in a overly happy, jovial, high pitched voice): 'Its the weekend, the sun is shining, you don't even like being in a bad mood, so you should be in a good mood........'
The Brain(in a sad, dark, low pitched grunt): But.....you are in a bad mood......
ARMS: 'So, I want to be like I like to be, laughing and smiling......'
The Brain: But......your in a bad mood.....
ARMS: 'What? Huh? That doesn't even make sense, I want to be in a good mood and have fun today...'
The Brain: Well....sorry we are closed up for shop.....(matter of a fact like)
ARMS: 'No....I want to return my bad mood and exchange it for a good mood...???'
The Brain: No-can-duty.......
ARMS: 'But I don't understand...???..'(as the panic sets in)
The Brain: Well that makes sense you were never that bright......
ARMS: 'For the love of GOD!!! I want to be happy, I want to smile....'(crying in hysterics)
The Brain: Oh.....cheese and rice.......(SMH)

So I decide to avoid people...........

ARMS: 'Okay.....now if I can just......Oh God here comes LEGS.....HURRY!!! RUN!!! HIDE!!!!'
The Brain: Bawhahahahaha!!!!
ARMS: 'Phew!' (wiping my brow of sweat)
The Brain: Just embrace the darkness........
ARMS: 'I don't want to, I want to write my blog and talk to people.......'
The Brain: Too bad......
ARMS: 'Oh its unavoidable.....its hopeless.......'
The Brain: Damn straight now fight with LEGS.....

LEGS and I have a fight, the entire time I am thinking this is stupid, I don't even know why we are fighting........we both cross our arms and dig in for an evening of silence and pouting.....He goes into the Theater room and I get on the computer in my blog room......

(Side Note: I love my Mommy, but don't you hate it when you start doing things that you don't particularly want to do that are just like her?)

The Brain: Your just like your mother......
ARMS: 'Not like my mother!?!'
The Brain:Yep just like her!
ARMS: (Horrified) 'No!!!!'

So I went to bed on a Saturday night at 7:40pm...all in the name of being UNLIKE my mother......(Mommy- I know your reading this and I love you....)

Just another day in the life of an unlikely military wife..........**

Sucks at surprises.......**

I know its not funny.......but its funny.  Karmella will be outside barking, yapping and otherwise making our neighbors hate us.... so LEGS will call for her to come inside. He stands there at the door looking into the pitch black of the back yard.........but she completely ignores him.....so finally,  he gets really mad and slams the door.  I go over open the door, call Karmella. Once. And.....she comes prancing in as if I said the magic pass word.

LEGS also gets upset because Karmella will beg him at the kitchen table- but only him.  I wonder if its because he gives her food? Do you think that could maybe be why? Food for thought....and pun intended.....

Our Anniversary is coming up.  Every year I get completely strung out over his birthday present, his anniversary present and his Christmas gift, because I never know what to get the man.  I struggle because all of his hobbies are highly specialized and expensive......guns, motorcycle's, speed biking, and he is super into gadgets/technology.  So the idea of buying him anything is ridiculously intimidating and I am utterly clueless.......which makes it very difficult to surprise him.

(Side story: I love when people wonder why there is a nude drawing of me in his Marine Corps Jacket in our house...obviously this was in my early college days because I would never agree to this now...but if for nothing else it was to surprise my husband....which I should accept will never happen again- guess that is what happens when you marry a Recon Marine.....)

He knows what he is getting me, but he won't tell me.  I have been working on him for days to give it up......teasing him, nagging him, interrogating him.....but he's like Fort Knox!!! I get frustrated because I already openly discussed a few idea's I had for him with him so I wouldn't mess it up and get him the wrong thing.......ITS JUST NOT FAIR.....the other night when we were going through this little song and dance- he said:

LEGS:" Tiffany, for once in your life I am going to surprise you.  Your family sucks at surprises. When I was going to ask you to marry me I told your family and they told you, I was going to sing to you at our wedding (which would have been VERY entertaining EVIL LAUGH) but your family told you, Now I am just trying to surprise you with a gift and you won't even let me do that." MUHAHAHAHAHAHA........

He is right.......we suck at surprises......I am such a control freak I can't stand not knowing what is going to happened next..........plus we all have big mouths......WHOOPSY......I don't think he understands I need to rehearse the perfect reaction......in my mind I am like what if its a terrible gift and I have to fake being happy and excited??? Or what if my gift isn't as good as his gift? Or what if his gift sucks compared to mine??? Then I would feel sorry for him.....all of these emotions are making me really anxious......

I hate Christmas decorations down here in Alabama, because there is no snow.  The lawns are brown and covered with leaves and pine straw, and then people put up this large blow up things in the yard. Everything about it says: CHEAP....Its like they left the decorations in their yards until spring....

I also can't stand when people spell words wrong on facebook, like basic elementary words......I don't really mind when its something that you don't say everyday or when its something where I am even like geez I don't know how to spell that...(like the other day I spelled Tetanus wrong- but how many times a year do you spell tetanus???)..but figure out how to spell what your saying- if you aren't sure- look it up!!!

I spent all afternoon at Mimi Marmelade's for 'Girlz Lunch.' Going over to Mimi's house is like spending the afternoon in a magical wonderland, we collaborated about Christmas presents most of the day, it finally got me into the Christmas spirit.

It is funny to me that the four of us girls got together and we were actually naughtier than most guys I know.......I was thinking today it must come with age because what was discussed today at Girlz Lunch would have never been discussed about 4 years ago......

Time to go, Margarita Friday- I have my priorities straight.....

No, Really Seriously.....**

This is TANK GIRL your local weather girl.......For Alabama-It is BUTT A** cold out!

I was cleaning the house yesterday.....and listening to Kanye West on Pandora....I noticed I was getting grumpy.....So I put on Big Band/Swing music you know the kind Grams and Pops listen to- works like a charm.....I even felt like a 1950's housewife......you should try it- get back to me.......

So.....last night LEGS and I were on the couch in the theater room watching a movie (I am going to tell you which one soon....) on the Xbox.  When his Xbox friends get online, a little notice pops up to let you know, so there we are relaxing on the couch and a little notice pops up that says 'Sinful Chick' is online.  (Side note: I am VERY secure in my relationship with LEGS, I find it amusing and usually hilarious to watch other women hit on him.....no really seriously.) So I playfully look at him and teasingly say "Who is 'Sinful Chick'?" Now here is the rest of the conversation- no really seriously.....
LEGS: "One of my Xbox friends...."
ARMS: Now I am pretty sure my expression was like "Okay......AND?"
LEGS:"TIFFANY, Do you trust me?"
ARMS:"Of course I trust you....no really, seriously...."
LEGS: "I could give you the real answer, but it's not worth it....."
ARMS: "As opposed to the fake answer succeeding the trust statement?"
LEGS:"She's just some 12 year old girl I met on Xbox...."

This just keeps getting better.....LOLZ! I find this more entertaining than anything else, since I know LEGS in and out like the back of my hand he is friends with this girl because of the charity in his heart- but I do wonder why some 12 year old girl has the name 'Sinful Chick'-No, really seriously......

When I was looking for our wedding vows the other night....I came across some pictures of my sister and I in grade school.  Honestly we were ugly......I mean......maybe not my sister- but I was ugly......thank God that is over with.......See below the proof is in the pudding......

YIKES!!!

I like the Bubble Gum flavored ACT mouthwash, it makes me feel like a kid again........and don't tell anybody but I sleep with a stuffed animal every night....its a sock monkey LEGS got me.......but when I am sick or extra needy I sleep with George the Running Bear ALSO- that was LEGS' stuffed animal as a kid....he gave it to me......... .*D No, really, SERIOUSLY....

My friend Longshanks has a serious boyfriend......who is in a band.  I just think that is so BA- like she can say 'yeah I have a boyfriend.......he's in a band.." BAM!!!

The movie we watched last night is a Documentary called 'Restrepo.' It is National Geographic feature length film that chronicles the 1 year deployment of a platoon of US Army Soldiers in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley.  The Korengal Valley has seen the most action out of both wars.  I found the film to be enlightening, sad, fascinating, objective, amusing, basically nothing short of amazing and I highly recommend it.

It was very interesting to see how beautiful it is over there, many times during the movie I felt like it could have been Alaska.  I also found myself fascinated by the Afghan people and how they live...I found myself empathizing with them in certain regards......that being said it is hard to know what to do over there. I was saddened by the grief and sacrifice these young soldiers experienced and still carry. It was a very realistic depiction of soldiers, how they live, act, and mourn.

(For those of you on fb I put clips from youtube on my page.....but the movie in its entirety is essential)
A BONUS: to see the APACHE flying missions over there.....I just sometimes can't believe that LEGS goes to work and flies that amazing machine everyday....No, really seriously.....

LEGS is behind in his flying hours.  I am wondering if he is going to check before Christmas in the Gunnery portion of the course.  It would be nice if he did check because then he would be done with flight school.  Poor thing....he said they got out to the Range today, were flying over the Range to do a Range check, getting ready to do 'live fire' and the damn helicopter broke.  He said " I hate you helicopter...I just knew you were a piece of crap when I walked up to you this morning." (is it wrong for me to find this simply adorable?)

LEGS' facebook update: 'Tomorrow when you are out and about in Enterprise Alabama or perhaps Ozark listen close... when you hear the Sound of Freedom coming from the Ft. Rucker range complex that is I raining down hot 30mm and 2.75 inch rockets training to deliver death and destruction in support of warriors doing our nations "light work" as some would say I appreciate all your support for those of you that wrote letters for me Thank you' ARMS response: YAY LEGS!!! You are so BA! And PS- your welcome for the letters......no, really seriously....

(heavy sigh) I love my husband......no, really seriously......

Went to the Doctor's again today.  I see this dude wearing a black trench coat with a chain down the back and a cross attached to it..no, really seriously....Who the hell does he think he is? Neo from the Matrix???........What a freak show........Anyways there is a plan in place for the Zombie Disease which puts me at ease ( a big thank you to the ladies that took care of me today! .*D ).......And I had to get 4 shots!!! Two in each arm.....Flu Shot, Tetanus, Hep A, Hep B....its times like these where I wish my Mommy was here to hold my hand.......no, really seriously....

Men's Health says you should avoid having bad eyes when you get older- 'Farsightedness happens, not all cataracts should-buy good sunglasses....my vision is 20/13....Whoop! Whoop!

The stove went out in our rental in AK.  $200 later......NICE........If we sold it now I am afraid we would lose a lot of money.......and we don't get a tax break because we rent it out....should we sell? or keep?.....I am inclined to hold on to it because if something ever happened to LEGS, I would high tail it back to AK, fix it up and live as a spinster for life.......LEGS says "I don't operate on the basis that I might not survive." I told him I don't either it just helps me sleep better at night having a plan in place because I don't even know if I could survive THAT which we do not speak of.......Reality Bites.............No, really seriously......

Against Doctor's Orders.....I'M BACK!**

LEGS does this thing that drives me NUTS!!! He cleans out Clancy's eye boogies, and instead of using a kleenex he just rubs them in his hair...GROSS and CRUEL...no wonder the dog stinks!!! He did it again last night and then tried to touch me afterward......HE'S LOST HIS DAMN MIND!?!

I change my bed sheets once a week.......Men's Health says 1-2 weeks, I think 1 week is better......

Well......I got 4 hours of drug induced sleep last night, then I woke up and cleaned the entire downstairs perfectly normal behavior right?......and I cratered- I ate the cream cheese frosting- but only after I cleaned- just in case Santa is watching.....I was thinking last night I wonder if any of my neighbors see me do this stuff.......am I paranoid?

Some random dreams in my crazy head. I had this dream that I ran into my old German Teacher from High School, Frau Vischer.  She had a mohawk that was dreads......I spent the whole dream telling her how good her hair looked- this morning when I woke up all I could do was laugh because it looked F-IN horrible!!! What does that mean???

I have been frantically looking for our wedding vows and our wedding pictures CD- I suspect they are packed somewhere away in a box :( Since LEGS and I do not have very much money we are going to write a new set of vows for our anniversary this year and I wanted to look at the old ones for a point of reference.....surprisingly I do remember parts of them...after looking for them and coming up empty handed I went back to bed.....WHERE ARE THEY!?!?!

Women are more attracted to men wearing red.......(Men's Health)

LEGS got up to go to PT this morning and when he got home he woke me up to go pick up the TANK.  I felt like death.  So I asked him if he could do me a real big favor, and go in and deal with the guys in the shop for me (that and I have a Zit the size of Alaska on my face and I was too tired to put makeup on)......He reluctantly agreed and I figured out why......once we got there he spent 15 minutes messing with his Beret before he exited the car......For the love of GOD- was he just trying to make me feel bad???

TANK- check, Acutal Sleep- check, Coffee- check, Higher Dose of Synthroid-check, this is TANK GIRL - just want to report I am ready to do battle......

I went back to bed when we got home.  I woke up and had a poop! :D This is major progress with my Zombie Disease.  Against my better judgment I put myself on a higher dose of Synthroid, don't know how the Doctor is going to respond to this.....OWELL....

I'm coming home, I'm coming home, tell the world I'm coming home......I'm back where I belong, I never felt so strong, I feel like there's nothing I can't try....I'm putting my hands high.......

I ran 3 miles shadow boxing the whole way today!!! Man it feels so good to run, I felt so free......and strong, I am feeling the hunger to start boxing again- in fact I am considering asking LEGS to put the BAG back up so I can pound on it in the garage- especially when I can't sleep in the middle of the night..........(Evil Laugh)

You know what? I have the best friends- I got so many encouraging messages yesterday......its like they were praying for me and GOD answered their prayers because I feel like me again today.......It sucks when its too tiring be me....I don't want to be anybody else...I like me......

I also think my Karmella Bella knew I wasn't feeling well yesterday because she was extra loving and concerned for me.........at least I will have her in NEVER NEVER LAND......she's my ROAD DOG!!!

The cause of most bad knees (when older) is carrying around too much excess weight.

I finished the book 'Pay It Forward' yesterday.  I had already seen the movie, but my Sister Chachel sent me the book.  I decided to read it because it is the season to be generous and kind.  I really enjoyed the book and started thinking- about Paying it Forward.  Next time an opportunity comes for me to help somebody in a big way- I am going to do it- I'll keep you posted!!!

Also, Where does the time go? I spend all day hurrying, bustling, rushing getting all these chores done, by the time I get them done I have run out of time.  I used to think if I didn't have a job I would have so much more time to do the things I wanted to do like knit, read, box, etc.  I hardly spend any of my day doing those things......makes me wonder how I functioned when I did have a job......HOLY MOLY!

I started packing for our OREGON TRIP today......I am started to get SO EXCITED......hmmmmm I do wonder if OREGON IS READY FOR TANK GIRL!?!

LEGS and I are thinning out after Thanksgiving there is NO WAY IN HECK I am showing up to Christmas FAT. Listen up because everybody is always asking me how I lost weight- and when your in a weight managed sport your weight is EVERYTHING!!!

My plan is to exercise pretty rigorously two times a day.  Second, my diet- in the morning AFTER I run/lift weights I drink a protein shake for breakfast, for lunch I eat some Chobani yogurt (more protein and more filling) and some fruit and/or PB and Celery.  For dinner we eat chicken, salad and a veggie- that means 75% of what we eat is Veggies........

Cheese and Rice!!! I have another Doctor appointment tomorrow....I feel a sudden case of Tourettes syndrome coming on......

Just another day in the life of an unlikely military wife.......**
