A day at the beach in January........**

Dearest Blog....

Weather Record: It has been cold and sunny in Enterprise, but today it is supposed to warm up.  Yesterday down in Destin at the beach it was pleasant, it was in the fifties and sunny, it was a beautiful day.

Since we got the new bed we have been sleeping better.  THANK YOU IN-RENTS!

Yesterday we went to see the COMMANCHE Helicopter. The COMMANCHE was an advanced US Army helicopter intended for the armed reconnaissance role incorporating stealth technology.  It was designed to replace the KIOWA, and assist the APACHE in designating targets. It was pretty interesting to be able to see the advance in technology through out the years in aircraft aviation, specifically the helicopter.  Oh and it was also funny to see the guys swoon over the COMMANCHE like little boys....

We took the In-Rents down to the beach.  It was very difficult for me to let go of everything we have going on to relax enough to enjoy the beach...but I rallied and we had a great day.....

Queen Di was incredibly worried that we wouldn't get her down there by the time the sun set.  So all day we gave her a hard time by saying 'hurry before the sun sets, oh no the sun might set, I think the sun is setting.'

Even though it is winter you just can't come all this way and not at least see the Emerald Coast.  Queen Di and I gathered up some sand, I have wanted to send some to my family.  We took pictures, had ice cream and coffee, strolled on the beach, did some shopping and then had dinner a Pomano Joe's at sunset.

Today, we said farewell to LEGS' parents.  Another Goodbye, even though I am anxious to get our lives semi- back on track, I could tell Queen Di didn't want to leave.  She said we will see you guys in 7 months.....damn its really real, we are going to another country and probably won't see anybody or anything familiar for a long time.

After they left LEGS and I tried to be productive but we were both exhausted.  3 horrible nights of sleep, a major milestone, having the In-Rents visit, just wore us out.  We took a long siesta in our own bed.

Chap-Chap is in town for some helicopter training.  He was our former roomie.  LEGS and I have fallen madly in love with his wife Emma, and his 4 boys ages 7-under Eli, Owen, Liam and Riley.  We are taking Chap Chap to a birthday dinner since he cannot be with his family for it.

LEGS and I watched 'Despicable Me' we decided we have liked disney/pixar movies so much recently we aren't sure we would even watch another type of movie.  We also watched 'The Town with Queen Di and BobDad I thought that it was really good too.

Random Thoughts:

Queen Di doesn't know how to work a reclining couch.

Man....people complain about getting old, but Queen Di and BobDad sure did wear LEGS and ARMS out!

If you are at a Restaurant that normally serves excellent food and it ends up serving terrible food.....what do you do? Send it back and wait for the second meal?

Sometimes I feel like being around people is a lot of work.  Having to constantly perform, be energetic and entertaining.....it wears me out, and I need some solitude.....I love when the house is totally quiet and I can just think about all the random things in my head in peace......

LEGS and I have a bunch of stuff to get rid of, I am very worried that we will get to NEVER NEVER LAND and not be able to fit all of our things in our house.......I don't want to put it in storage in ALABAMA because who knows when we will be back here......and if we get a big house it will all be for nothing......

All we have done over the past week is debate over our dilemma....should we store? should we take? should we get rid of? And what should be stored, taken, and trashed???? Everybody talks about how cool it is we are going (AND TRUST ME IT IS COOL) but many of the people who say this could not deal with all of these decisions and would not deal with the transition very well....

We could be in a hotel for 6 weeks or more over there.....with just what we pack in our suitcases.......

Over & Out

Just another couple of days in the life of unlikely military wife........**
