Oh Dear Blog you are my solace.....
Weather: Its a weird humid, its chilly, but warm.....and its a full moon...UH OH.....
The Good: My day started out fabulous.
I have been feeling really fat lately. And I suspect its not just a feeling the proof is in the amount of time it takes me to get ready to leave the house. Having to try on 15 different outfits that actually flatter me versus make me have muffin top has been just a tad annoying.
Sorry....my bad..here is the good part....FOR REAL...SO to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT my little weight problem I went to the gym SUPER early and ran my little Beyonce' off! 3 miles in 26 minutes, I was sweating my little tush off, I beat the ARMY dude next to me in time and in distance, AND I worked so hard I felt like I was going to puke- YES...this is a good thing!
Then I went to Yoga, and did some awesome stretching that has seemingly relieved the bizarre back and hip pain I have been experiencing....
After that I went into the sauna that has been broke for weeks, and had myself a early morning nap.......Isn't this the beginning of a FABULOUS DAY???
The Bad: THEN BAM OUT OF NOWHERE!
I got an email from the travel office. 'You cannot take your collector wine to NEVER NEVER LAND, because you don't have the proper documents. To get the documents you will have to do a million things, pay a million dollars, and wait a million years. If you decide to pack them without the proper documents the $600 dollars of collector wine you have will be destroyed. Bottom Line: YOU CAN'T TAKE YOUR PRIZED POSSESSIONS.'
After that I had to get the 2nd series of the Hep A, B vaccinations. Burns like HELL!!!
The Ugly: DAMN! YOU MADE ME UGLY!
SO....we went to purchase a pet carrier for Karmella at Petsmart. As we scrutinized each carrier we started to realize that we should probably measure her. And we should do some research before we buy. The research indicates Karmella is exceptionally tall for her weight AND that she probably won't be able to travel in the cabin with us.
NOW- don't tell me I am overly freaking out- until you put your child in the underbelly of the plane. Also get a letter of acclimation and all the other extra things you need to do to have her travel under the plane!!! And please remember she is the ONLY child I have left.
Then LEGS quit on me. He sat down and got on his computer, while I kept working toward the ultimate goal of comfortably moving and transitioning to NEVER NEVER LAND. There is nothing more irritating than a husband who sits casually on his computer, laughing happily at some B.S. on facebook while you are sweating with your dry cracked hands in nasty dish water! So the ugly part is me yelling at him and calling him a rookie when it comes to moving! (which he is.....)
And to boot, he leaves all the lights on in the house. I have repeatedly asked him to turn the lights off so he doesn't have a heart attack when we get the ridiculous power bill in the mail. I maturely and calmly turned every light on in the house.....boy is it weird to not turn the lights off when I am done with them......
Sometimes I think I should only worry about myself. Just set out the things that I need for the trip. And then turn around and do exactly what he was doing during the last move. Drink beer with my girlfriends, spend hours at the gym, take lots of mid-afternoon naps.......
So there you have it.....Sometimes life is Good, Sometimes life is Bad and sometimes life is Ugly. Either way, ITS LIFE.
Over & Out....
Just another day in the life of an UNLIKELY military wife.......**
