Tank Girlz Weather Narrative: Its cold and sunny. Queen Di and BobDad have been surprised how COLD it ACTUALLY IS down here in the subtropics....
Last Night the IN-LAWS (Queen DI and BobDad) arrived for LEGS' graduation on Thursday. We all sat down and conversed about 'Clampy' over Tuna Melts. The atmosphere was reminiscent of the days when Granma and Grampa Pollock would tell stories of "Cooper." (Side Story: Grandma and Grandpa Pollock (Queen Di's Parents) used to walk the neighbors dog named Cooper every morning. They would show up at family events and tell stories of their adventures with Cooper- usually the same ones over and over and over again.)
One such story had us all laughing to the point of tears. Queen Di said that Clancy will follow her into the bathroom, sit facing her on the commode and simply place his paw in the general area of her lap. Queen Di says she 'thinks he wants me to hold his paw.' So every morning when Queen Di uses the bathroom her and Clampy hold hands.
I also found it amusing that Clampy Duke the Celebrity has a team of people taking care of him during Queen Di and BobDad's absence.....BobDad showed me the email in which three different people are working together to care for him.
Last night LEGS and I slept on the futon. It was the most horrible night of sleep I have had in a long long time. I am actually mortified that I have forced anybody to sleep on that god forsaken thing. This morning when LEGS got home from PT, he said 'Man...I slept like crap last night.' I know for a fact that him and I were both awake in the dark last night NOT sleeping. (Please bear with me while I figure out this artwork thing)
At this point my only solution is to get completely obliterated so we can sleep tonight.
The wind is slicing cold, its a clear sunny day. I am glad its sunny out but for the love of GOD its freezing! We went to family day and I wish it would have been warmer. LEGS showed us the APACHE, I got to sit in the cock pit, and he showed me some of the buttons/functions. Some of them I recognized because of the knowledge we went over together to get him ready for testing. We were able to see APACHE's fly, which was narrated by LEGS. Every time we do these type things I am just so amazed that MY husband does this for a living, I am awed by his ability, training, and tenacity to pursue this career. We didn't stay long because of the temperatures and wind.
The plan was to head to the nearest surrounding civilization, Dothan. But....we decided to stay in Enterprise, drink margaritas and watch a movie in the theater room. LEGS Xbox got the 'red ring of death' which means its shot, I have dreaded this day for a very long time. I suspect we will replace it but I sometimes struggle with how expensive they are.
We watched Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise, I wanted to see that movie in theaters when it came out, but last night I found it to be the cheesiest movie I have ever seen! Come on Hollywood, get yourself together and come up with something better than that.....

Queen Di and I went to Yoga this morning.....Turns out Queen Di is a RockStar at Yoga......
I didn't lay out my clothes like I usually do for today. So I just threw a bunch of random things that I have together that are the same color scheme, and it actually turned out pretty good. But its hot pink and black and I feel a little loud and insecure.....I just wanted to look good in the inevitable photo ops today and of course be warm!
I feel bad because I suspect Queen Di and BobDad think I can't cook. I can and I wanted to for them this trip, but of course timing is everything. I am keeping the bare minimum of food in the house since we are moving and I didn't want to go out and purchase a bunch of food items that will go to waste.
BobDad and Queen Di bought us a bed. I feel sometimes like we are losers, we don't have a lot of money to afford the luxuries that they are accustomed, so they take mercy on us and financially assist us in doing things like buying a decent guest bed. I am thankful to be humbled in this fashion and also grateful that we have such amazing parents and support in our lives.
Sissy made me some excellent CD's I didn't know she listened to Raggae!?!
I look fat in all the family day pictures because I am wearing so many clothes to stay warm. I hate that.
